Generous financial support from the Robert M. and Mary Haythornthwaite Foundation through the AmeriMech Symposia series of the US National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics is greatly appreciated.

Mardi Gras

I think that I may say that an American has not seen the United States until he has seen Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

- Mark Twain, American writer (1835–1910)

Prior to the workshop, Louisiana will be celebrating CARNIVAL SEASON, or MARDI GRAS.  Consider arriving early and stay a few days in New Orleans and "Laissez les bons temps rouler” (“Let the good times roll..)
